Emma Newman

Emma works for a disability charity, where inclusion sits at the heart of her work, a value she brings into the alcohol-free world. She herself has been alcohol-free since 2015, and has spent the past decade exploring the rapidly-evolving landscape of non-alcoholic drinks. She has a particular passion for innovative flavour profiles crafted from natural ingredients, functional botanicals and low-sugar options.
Emma has been a regular contributor to Low No Drinker magazine, where she reviewed non-alcoholic spirits, but she has also curated a non-alcoholic cocktail subscription box for Wise Bartender, and been a regular judge for the low/no category at the Free From Food Awards.
During WAFA Emma is especially looking forward to judging the non-alcoholic spirits and functional/adaptogenic categories, where she continues to be excited by the creativity and boundary-pushing flavours.
Emma met her husband at the Land’s End signpost on an End to End charity amputee bike ride. They began the challenge as strangers in a group photo, standing at opposite ends of the sign and then finished it side by side at John O’Groats, 874 miles later!
